Coach Dej is a queer, black woman. She has been married to her wife for three years and together they share a sweet but very needy mini-golden doodle named Berlin.

Coach Dej has her masters in clinical mental health counseling. She has successfully opened and run her private practice since January of 2024. Coach Dej is a post partum doula, trained in BrainSpotting Phase One, a death doula, and trained in Dikenga Medicine One, Two and Three.

Coach Dej has experience in crisis care working with officers and paramedic personnel to respond to active crisis. Coach Dej has experience working with those that have depression, anxiety, self-harm, low self-esteem, psychosis, divorce, and a plethora of other backgrounds.

While her work has been fulfilling, she has always felt a need for more. Honoring her ancestors, she realized that there needs to be space created that tends to the whole person. And while talk therapy has its place, most people, specifically black people, simply need more. This space brings “more.”
